Set on a sloping block beneath a magnificent established tree, Project A was a project defined by precision, trust, and the pursuit of something deeply personal. Our clients wanted more than a statement home, they wanted a sanctuary that felt intimate, warm, and quietly luxurious, while still delivering bold architectural impact from the street.

The challenge lay in balancing scale with softness. A three-level design with dramatic glazing, suspended spaces, and strong contemporary lines had the potential to feel imposing. Instead, every decision was carefully considered to create connection and comfort, from the rich timber detailing and polished concrete floors, to the way natural light moves through the soaring stair void and into the private living spaces.

Constructing on a steep site demanded significant planning and craftsmanship. Split-level access, retaining works, integrated garaging, and structural engineering all had to be seamlessly resolved without compromising the elegance of the final design. The result is a home that appears effortless, despite the complexity behind it.

Inside, the brief centered on understated luxury. The kitchen was designed as the social heart of the home, while the ensuite evokes a boutique hotel retreat with sculptural stone, custom joinery, and a freestanding bath framed by soft natural light. Large openings connect the interiors to private outdoor entertaining and pool areas, allowing the home to feel expansive yet secluded.

Project A is a reflection of what happens when high expectations meet genuine collaboration — a technically challenging build transformed into a refined, intimate family home of lasting quality.
